Teetering Gift Topiary
I made two sets of these Teetering Gift Topiaries on Hallmark Channel's Home and Family. They are really fun, easy, and very inexpensive. I made an oversized one for the front porch in red and white and then a smaller one for inside in reds and golds.
MATERIALS
- An urn (you could also use a terra cotta planter or get creative and do one on a colander for the kitchen!)
- Three wrapped boxes, small, medium and large. The largest should be just larger than the diameter of your urn.
- 4 Rubber door stops.
- Glue Gun
- Bow
STEPS
Put a couple of beads of hot glue on the top of your urn or flower pot. Set the largest gift on top, in the center, and hold a few seconds until set. Place two of the door stops on top and hot glue into place. Play around with the placement before committing to the glue. Put hot glue on the tops of the door stops and set the middle gift in place at an angle sitting on the door stops. Again, play around with the position before gluing to make sure you get a pretty angle! Repeat with the smallest gift and top with the bow! For the larger version that's on the front porch I double stacked the door stops between the large and medium gift to get a more dramatic angle.
