Glamming Your Garland
Here's the how to for the DIY holiday sprays I made on Home and Family on the Hallmark Channel!I use these sprays for a lot of things over the holidays. You can put up inexpensive garland and add one of these too each corner and it looks like a million bucks! Also, an oversize one is great by itself instead of a wreath on the front door. One on the bannister at the bottom of the stairs looks great and mini-ones on the tops of packages are pretty fab!
MATERIALS
- Greenery - this can be from Christmas tree trimmings, the yard, (the neighbor's yard!).
- What ever else you find laying around the house that looks festive! In these I used pine cones, green apples, berries, and plastic ornaments.
- Floral Wire
STEPS
For the lavender and silver group I used some frosted pastel ornaments and two snowflake ornaments. String floral wire through the ornaments, I used five different shaped and colored ornaments in all. Lay them on top of your greenery, I used pine here. I slid the two snow flakes off center behind them.... And just wired them in place - boom, done! For the Green Apple Spray I started with a pine branch, two apples and two wooden skewers. Push the skewers into the tops of the apples and arrange them on the pine branch. I also added a little cedar that I took from the garland I had around the door. Lay a few pine cones on top to hide the skewers and wrap floral wire around the group to hold in place.
