“Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble”, Billy Shakespeare said it best! And now you can bring a little if that magic to your front door just in time for the witching season.

STEPS

Saw the cauldron in roughly half, making sure that you leave the handle (if it has one) and a couple of legs on the half you’re going to use.  My half was probably more like two thirds.

Lay the cut half on the sheet of foam core and trace the bottom exactly and then at the top make a free form shape which will be the bubbling potion.  Also, make some “ear lobes” coming down the sides where the potion drips over.  Cut the shape out with a utility knife.  Cut a hole in the top of the foam core that you’ll use to hang the cauldron when you’re done.

Use hot glue to attach the cauldron to the foam core.

Place the flower pot upside down inside the cauldron, leaning on the foam core and secure with a couple of squirts of hot glue.  This is basically to take up space. Take the three large ornaments and and hot glue them, hook hoop down, on either side of the pot and one at 2 o’clock.

Now start adding the medium size ornaments. Hot glue them in place one by one, to fill up the space.  There’s no really right or wrong, just keep adding and adding. Make sure to add ornaments on the “ear lobes” that drop down the side as well.

Once you’re happy with the medium ball placement, go back through with the small ornaments to fill in any cracks where you see the pot.  Also, add a few at the bottom of the side drips.   I also created a drip down the front just to add to the effect!
