Wedding Invitation Shadowbox
I was so honored to help out a viewer who found her parents’ wedding invitation not long after her mother passed away. Not knowing how to honor her parents more than 50 years of marriage, she wrote to me. Here’s my solution, I liked it so much I may even dig mine out and do the same.
MATERIALS
Shadow boxCardboardPiece of fabric (optional)Silk flowers - a great option is to use the same flowers as were in the brides bouquet, or, for us, oak leaves amd moss to match the tree we were married under.RibbonPinsHot glue
STEPS
Cut an L out of the cardboard slightly shorter than the back of the shadow box.

Cut the heads off of your flowers and glue them to cover your L. Mix large and small flowers, flower buds, and add a leaf here and there.

My shadow box already had a linen covered back. If yours has something harsh, like black, for the back, use spray glue to cover it.Attach your flower covered piece to the backing using hot glue.

Take the ribbon and tie a bow around the invitation envelope.

Attach it to the back using the pins.

Attach the invitation slightly offset on top of the envelope. Use pins to secure it in place as well.

Set the back into the glass frame.
