Spring Dishtowels
Spring is here, so why not liven up your tea towels to bring a little of that warm weather attitude to your kitchen. Really easy and a great way to use up some of those fabric scraps!
MATERIALS
Tea towel
Fabric scrap
Scissors
Paperbacked fusible webbing
Pompoms and embroidery thread (optional)
STEPS
Print and cut out a pattern from on line, just google bunny or flower silhouette and you’ll have lots of options.
Cut a piece of fabric and fusing that’s slightly larger than the pattern. Place the fabric right side up onto the side of the fusing that has the plastic coating.
Iron the fabric and fusing. They will fuse (hence the name) into one piece of fabric.
Now, trace your pattern onto the paper backed side of the fusing and cut it out.
Remove the paper backing, flip the cutout over and iron it onto your tea towel. You can then stitch on a pompom for a tail, hand blanket stitch or machine zig zag around the edges, add a leaf to your flower....so many options!!
