Turn second hand bowls, plates and cups into great outdoor bird feeders! MATERIALSBowl or cupPlate8" Threaded screw eye with nut2 WashersTile drill bitAluminum tubing STEPSUsing the tile drill bit, drill a hole into the bottom of your bowl or cup and the plate. The only trick with using a tile bit is to dribble water on the spot where you're drilling. This keeps the ceramic from overheating and cracking the bowl. Cut the aluminum tubing to 7" using a pipe cuter or hacksaw.Thread the screw eye through the plate, add a washer, add your tubing and then another washer.Add your bowl or cup and screw on the nut to hold it all in place.To create the coffee cup version, simple use a glue gun to attach a cup on its side to a saucer.Hang, fill with seed, and enjoy!
