Drawer Planter
I love a challenge - so when presented with a car load of dresser drawers my mind raced. After much head scratching this is the result, a multicolored drawer stack perfect for welcome spring.
MATERIALSDresser drawersSpray paint3/4” plywood cut to size of 2 largest drawers4 screw on legs and plates1”x4”Screws and screw gun
STEPS
Remove the drawer hardware and give the fronts a good coat of spray paint. I used a variety of blues and a pop of green. Once dry, put the hardware back on.
Attach the legs to the four corners of the plywood.
Sit the two largest drawers on top of the plywood base and screw through the drawer bottoms into the plywood.Take your next drawer, place it on top, off center, and screw at an angle down into the back of the front of the drawer into the drawer front below in a few places. Add the next drawer, off center in the opposite direction, and screw into place. Repeat for the 5th and 6th drawer.
Measure and cut the 1”x4” to the height of the drawers. Screw it along the back of the drawers for support.
Plant your favorite flowers and enjoy!
