I’ve always loved the clean lines and natural woods of Scandinavian design. There’s something so modern and refreshing, even in the most rustic of designs. These wooden bead snowflakes have that feel and once you get the hang of it, you can make them in as many different ways as there are snowflakes.

I love this project for several reasons. First, my old knife block sits on the counter taking gobs of space while harboring who knows what kind of bacteria and germs in those dark slots in the wood. Secondly, I’m never quite sure what knife I’m grabbing and usually have to go a couple of rounds…
