Turn second hand bowls, plates and cups into great outdoor bird feeders!
Bowl or cup
8″ Threaded screw eye with nut
Tile drill bit
Using the tile drill bit, drill a hole into the bottom of your bowl or cup and the plate. The only trick with using a tile bit is to dribble water on the spot where you’re drilling. This keeps the ceramic from overheating and cracking the bowl.
Cut the aluminum tubing to 7″ using a pipe cuter or hacksaw.
Thread the screw eye through the plate, add a washer, add your tubing and then another washer.
Add your bowl or cup and screw on the nut to hold it all in place.
To create the coffee cup version, simple use a glue gun to attach a cup on its side to a saucer.
Hang, fill with seed, and enjoy!
