I did these window boxes on Hallmark’s Home & Family as part of a holiday decorating segment. For those of you who didn’t catch it on TV, here are the DIY details:
– Window box
– Floral Foam
– Light Fixture Globes, 2 small, 1 large
– Small white holiday lights
– Fresh Greenery: Cedar, Fir, Pine
– Pine Cones & Berries
Soak floral foam in water and place in the bottom of the window boxes.
Insert the cedar branches into the foam, letting them hang over the front. Layer the fir branches on top of the cedar, having them fan out to the left and right of the window box always making sure the branch bases are in the foam. Then add the pine to the center and a few in the rear standing up. Keep moving them around until you get a nice full grouping.
Take the holiday lights and insert them into the globes, spreading them evenly between the three globes. Position the globes in the greenery.
Position berries and pine cones to the sides of the globes and plug in!
